Building a student village in Sderot – using shipping containers
This year (2014-2015) our students (during the first steps around 100 and in a year they will reach to around 300), aged 19-30, are going to move and live in Sderot in shipping containers.
The Sderot village is being built in a very creative and innovative method that will allow us to complete the village construction in a few months with relatively very low budget. The village is being built from shipping containers… Read here about it.
Project south was launched during “Protective Edge” to support small businesses. Every friday we arrange buses to go through cities in Israel’s center to take people to the northern cities to shop.

The Lod village was built on 2011 and since then was extended twice. It is Ayalim’s biggest student village and it is made of: one building the student built from scratch, one building that was a burnt school and the student renovated and shipping containers that were transformed into apartments.
